Director of Operations About the Role We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Construction Manager to lead our projects from initial client contact through final completion. This is a versatile leadership position that combines business development (sales) , design coordination , accurate estimating , and full project management . Specializing in Decks and patio roofs If you thrive in a hands-on environment, enjoy building strong client relationships, and can deliver high-quality construction projects on time and within budget, we want to hear from you! Key Responsibilities Sales & Business Development Identify and pursue new construction opportunities through networking, referrals, and client outreach. Conduct client consultations to understand needs, present company capabilities, and close sales. Prepare and deliver compelling proposals, presentations, and bids to win new projects. Design Coordination Collaborate with architects, designers, engineers, and clients during the design phase. Review and provide practical input on drawings, plans, and specifications to ensure buildability and cost efficiency. Manage design revisions and value-engineering opportunities. Estimating Prepare accurate, detailed cost estimates and bids for residential, commercial, or renovation projects. Perform quantity take-offs, analyze labor and material costs, and obtain subcontractor/vendor quotes. Develop project budgets and track costs throughout the project lifecycle to prevent overruns. Project Management Oversee all phases of construction projects from pre-construction through closeout. Create and maintain detailed project schedules, ensuring timely completion. Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. Handle change orders, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation. Conduct regular site visits, progress meetings, and quality/safety inspections. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, keeping them informed and ensuring satisfaction.Requirements & Qualifications Experience:
5+ years in construction, with proven experience in sales , estimating , design coordination , and project management . Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, building codes, and safety regulations. Proficiency in construction software (Builders Prime) a plus Excellent skills in reading blueprints, performing take-offs, and managing budgets/schedules. Outstanding communication, negotiation, and client relationship skills. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
