Commercial HVAC Estimator and Project Coordinator Full-Time | $65,000-$85,000 Annually Based on Experience Commercial HVAC | Project Estimating | Construction Coordination | Advancement Opportunity Take the Next Step in Commercial HVAC We are hiring a Commercial HVAC Estimator and Project Coordinator to help prepare competitive estimates and support commercial projects throughout the construction process. This role is a great fit for someone who already understands commercial HVAC and wants to expand their career beyond the field. You will have the opportunity to develop your estimating and project management skills while working directly with project managers, installation crews, suppliers, subcontractors, and general contractors. Candidates with estimating or project coordination experience are encouraged to apply, but we are also interested in experienced commercial HVAC technicians, installers, and foremen who are ready to move toward an estimating or project management career. Pay and Career Opportunity $65,000-$85,000 annually based on experience and qualifications Full-time position Opportunity to develop advanced commercial estimating skills Career path toward Commercial HVAC Project Manager and additional project leadership responsibilities Your Role Review mechanical drawings, specifications, equipment schedules, and construction documents Develop material, equipment, and labor takeoffs for commercial HVAC projects Gather supplier and subcontractor pricing for upcoming bids Assist with preparing estimates, proposals, and project scopes Determine requirements for HVAC equipment, duct systems, piping, controls, insulation, and related materials Review projects for missing scope, coordination concerns, and potential cost risks Support equipment purchasing and material procurement after projects are awarded Coordinate submittals, RFIs, purchase orders, change orders, and project documentation Track equipment availability, lead times, deliveries, and important project deadlines Communicate with project managers, field crews, suppliers, subcontractors, and contractors Assist with monitoring project costs and identifying potential budget concerns Visit commercial jobsites when necessary to verify conditions or help resolve project issues Support project turnover and closeout activities What We're Looking For Two or more years of commercial HVAC, mechanical contracting, estimating, project coordination, project management, or comparable industry experience preferred Knowledge of commercial heating and cooling equipment and installation methods Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, specifications, and equipment schedules Familiarity with duct systems, refrigeration piping, hydronic piping, controls, insulation, and related mechanical systems Commercial HVAC field experience is strongly valued Previous estimating, takeoff, purchasing, or construction coordination experience is beneficial Strong math, organization, and problem-solving skills Excellent attention to detail Ability to prioritize several bids or active projects at once Professional communication skills when working with contractors, customers, vendors, and field personnel Comfortable using Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and other business software Experience with estimating, takeoff, or construction management software is a plus Valid driver's license with the ability to travel to local project sites when necessary Commercial HVAC Field Experience Can Be a Great Fit You do not necessarily need to come from a traditional estimating or project management background.
