Civil Construction Superintendent

D.L. George & Sons Construction company is seeking Civil Construction Superintendents with a minimum of 3-5 years experience as a Construction Superintendent.

Civil Superintendent Responsibilities and Duties:

Must be able to coordinate and schedule all trades and have a general knowledge of all scopes Reading plans and specifications fluidly Be able to support and abide by the Safety programs we have in place. Safety is the top priority and the Superintendent is the first line of defense Willingness to take direction, communicate with management, owners, Architects, Engineers and employees, both verbally and written Ability to work with and manage large teams of contractors, subcontractors and material vendors Some travel may be required, generally held to a minimum

Civil Superintendent Qualifications and Skills:

Experience and general knowledge of all scopes related to general building trades from Civil and earthwork, concrete, steel erection, pre-engineered building experience, carpentry, formwork, reinforcing steel, a full range of experience and exposure Individual should be organized, analytical, assertive and mathematically inclined Must keep Daily Logs and other job specific record keeping Must be able to communicate, direct and manage all aspects of a project General knowledge of how projects are managed, i.e., manpower, equipment, material orders, submittals, shop drawings, correspondence, schedules, general computer skills, etc Ability to work together in a team atmosphere and environment Ability and interest in current construction technologies Good work ethic, critical thinker and problem solver Agreeable to background checks for access to certain projects. Be agreeable and pass drug testing prior to employment and random thereafter D.L.
