Job Description:
Position Overview The Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading the successful delivery of complex construction projects from preconstruction through closeout, with a focus on design-build and early engagement delivery methods. This role is fully accountable for project performance across schedule, budget, quality, and safety, while serving as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders. The position requires a hands-on leadership approach, managing project teams, mitigating risk, and driving client satisfaction. The Senior Project Manager also mentors junior staff and leads at least one large, technically complex project, often within industrial sectors such as manufacturing, logistics, or cold storage . Key Responsibilities Lead preconstruction efforts including due diligence, conceptual estimating, scheduling, constructability, and stakeholder coordination Develop and execute project plans, staffing strategies, and site logistics in collaboration with field teams Manage master schedules, track progress, and implement corrective actions to maintain milestones Oversee contract administration, including negotiation, compliance, and change management Maintain full financial accountability including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and billing Ensure consistent use of project management systems, documentation standards, and reporting processes Enforce safety programs and regulatory compliance across all project sites Serve as primary client liaison, building long-term relationships and driving repeat business Lead, mentor, and develop project team members while fostering a collaborative environment Key Performance Indicators On-time project delivery Budget and margin performance Safety compliance Client satisfaction and retention Team development and retention Effective risk and contract management Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field 10+ years of project management experience, including large-scale projects (>$10M) Experience with design-build delivery methods Strong financial, scheduling, and contract management skills Proficiency with tools such as Primavera P6, MS Project, and project management platforms Preferred Qualifications Professional certifications (PMP, PE, AIA, or similar) Six Sigma certification Experience with regulated or industrial facilities
