Salary Range:
$77,716-$124,237 Employee Benefits Summary Role Overview Oversee and manage the initiatives in all Washington County Public School Judy Center locations. Minimum Requirements Eligibility for MSDE teacher certification in Early Childhood/Elementary Education or related field. Five years of successful professional experience in a school or early childhood education setting. Demonstrates ability to independently and collaboratively lead and create positive outcomes for all stakeholders. Demonstrates experience with developing and delivering professional development for staff, families, and stakeholders. Familiarity with local, state, and national trends and research in education and transition relevant to early learning. Demonstrate an understanding and commitment to advancing the goals of WCPS, including implementation of the Blueprint for Maryland's Future and the WCPS Strategic Plan. Knowledge of and ability to support implementation of the core components of the Judy Center Early Learning Hub. Knowledge of community resources related to early learning and how to connect these families to these services. Effective oral and written communication and human relations skills. Knowledge and use of technology. Experience working with committees, agencies, and programs that serve children. Ability to work weekend and evening hours as necessary. Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations. Preferred Qualifications Administrator Certification Experience in grant writing and management, including cross-departmental coordination, fiscal oversight, data reporting and ensuring compliance with funding requirements. Experience collaborating with Judy Centers to support school readiness, family engagement, and community partnerships. Role Responsibilities Plan, implement, and monitor activities that will improve school readiness for children enrolled in the Judy Center program. Plan and deliver professional development opportunities for Judy Center and early childhood community partners (per grant). Oversee county-wide Judy Center initiatives and collaboration efforts with all stakeholders. Lead process to establish new Judy Centers (write grant application, assist in hiring, mentor new staff). Serve as a spokesperson and advocate for the needs of the Judy Center families. Monitor the Judy Center grants and complete all required reports and documents. Monitor grant expenses and order materials for the Judy Center sites. Plan and conduct the monthly Interagency Management Team (IMT) meetings. Point of contact for community agencies and resources and serve on partner boards. Build and collaborate with community partners - interagency coordination, including planning and implementation of cooperative initiatives. Plan, create, and monitor contracts and MOUs with various community agencies and stakeholders. • Attend relevant county and state meetings. Other duties as assigned by the Coordinator for Early Learning. Will be subjected to loud noises, interactions, and traffic flow associated with a highly populated office environment. Ability to work prolonged and irregular hours when needed. Ability to travel district-wide regularly and state-wide occasionally.
