Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Construction Project Manager to plan and supervise a wide range of construction projects for general contracting and self-perform projects. Projects will range from new building construction, expansions/renovations, equipment installation, and various capital construction projects. Knowledge and experience with supporting modifications to existing facilities and new construction projects within the aerospace, automotive, general manufacturing, heavy industrial, power & energy and water & wastewater is desired. The ideal candidate will proactively ensure commercial and technical compliance, collaborate with estimating, operations and ownership to align all project details and manage multiple project deliverables. Responsibilities:
Collaborate with engineers, architects, etc. to determine the specifications of the project. Lead projects with site specific safety plans. Master schedule preparation, maintenance and reporting. This includes developing detailed WBS, milestones, activities definition, logical sequences, durations, activity dependencies and interdependencies, and activity contingencies. Coordinate owner & internal status meetings. Manage prime contracts, subcontracts and project scope changes. Responsible for overall direction, completion and financial outcome of projects. Reviews jobs with estimator to help the bid process. Review and sign off on estimate prior to proposal completion. Creates overall job schedule and issues schedule, work orders and budgets to the office and field. Complete buy-out of subcontractors and vendors within budget, prior to start of project. Tracks field production to evaluate crew performance and monitor costs. Prepares project status reports and works to ensure work adheres to contract specifications. Reports and documents changes to each job including: change orders, submittals, change of plan set, changes to work orders due to the change order and any other change to the original contract. Responsible for monitoring materials and work completed to issue pay requests for each job before billing due date. Develop and implement corrective actions per quality and safety program Ensure customer quality standards are met
Required Qualifications:
10 years of construction management experience Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or Engineering preferred Excellent communication skills (verbally & written) Excellent analytical problem solving, organizational and time management skills Skilled in blueprint reading and understanding technical specifications. PMP Certification desired Must be willing to travel occasionally, work from home and handle multiple jobs Software proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Bluebeam, Procore, MS Project and Primavera P6 4 years of experience in developing, maintaining and updating MS Project and Primavera P6 schedules Ability to travel as needed
