Manages project budget and schedule; works closely with architects, engineers, trades workers, and clients; supervises construction on site and manages subcontractors; coordinates permits and regulatory compliance as needed for projects.
Company Truck, Purchasing Card, Benefits Package Lead the Growth of a New Civil Construction Division We are seeking an experienced Director of Civil Construction to lead and grow a newly established Civil Construction business unit. This is a unique opportunity to build and oversee a division backed by an established deep foundation contractor with a strong backlog of projects and an expanding pipeline throughout Texas and surrounding states. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience managing heavy civil and site development projects while also possessing strong estimating, business development, and leadership capabilities. We are a specialty civil contractor focused on deep foundations, heavy civil construction, utility infrastructure, and industrial projects. We support power utilities, industrial facilities, renewable energy, communications, and commercial construction throughout Texas and surrounding states.

Oversee multiple civil and site work projects from estimating through project closeout. Prepare accurate estimates, budgets, and competitive project bids. Manage project schedules, costs, subcontractors, and field operations. Develop and implement operational strategies to support continued growth. Build and mentor project management and field teams. Maintain strong relationships with owners, engineers, utility companies, and subcontractors. Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards. Identify and pursue new project opportunities while supporting business development efforts. Monitor financial performance, forecasting, and project profitability. Collaborate with executive leadership to expand the civil construction division. Qualifications 10+ years of civil/site construction experience is required.
Extensive experience managing:
Substation projects Heavy industrial construction Renewable energy projects Site development and utility infrastructure Proven experience estimating and managing large civil construction projects. Strong understanding of heavy equipment, earthwork, foundations, utilities, and civil construction methods. Experience leading multiple project teams simultaneously. Strong financial management and budgeting skills. Excellent leadership, communication, and client relationship skills. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Requirements Must be based in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Must be willing to work from the office Monday through Friday. Hybrid/remote flexibility may be available after successfully demonstrating performance. Ability to travel to project sites as needed.
Compensation & Benefits Salary:
