We are seeking a Director of Construction to lead our Linework, Design, and System Operations teams.   • Shape strategy, lead teams, and influence enterprise-wide initiatives What You'll Do As Director of Construction, you will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight across construction and utility functions: Strategic Leadership & Operations + Lead Linework, Design, and System Operations teams, aligning priorities with organizational goals + Drive execution of enterprise-wide initiatives with a focus on results, timelines, and quality + Partner cross-functionally to ensure seamless planning and delivery of projects Safety & Performance Excellence + Champion a proactive safety culture and partner with safety leadership to enhance programs + Promote continuous improvement, innovation, and operational efficiency Project & Financial Oversight + Oversee utility construction projects with a focus on safety, quality, and reliability + Own departmental budgets, ensuring cost control and effective resource allocation + Utilize tools like Microsoft Project to track progress and optimize delivery People & Relationship Leadership + Lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams, including union-represented employees + Foster strong labor relations and maintain productive partnerships with union leadership + Build trusted relationships with contractors, developers, public agencies, and members What You BringRequired Experience + Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field + 5+ years of recent construction experience, ideally in utility or energy projects + 5+ years of leadership experience, including team management, budgeting, and project delivery + Proven success overseeing projects with strong emphasis on safety, quality, and compliance + Experience managing budgets and resources effectively Preferred Qualifications + Background in the electric utility industry + Experience working in a unionized environment + Expertise managing trades, field personnel, and complex infrastructure projects + Strong collaboration with engineering and design teams + Demonstrated ability to drive performance, lead change, and implement best practices Work Environment +
