Division Leader

Nettles Construction Solutions is seeking an experienced Division Leader to launch and lead a new specialized commercial construction services division focused on building envelope and fire protection systems. This role is responsible for driving division startup activities, estimating and bidding commercial projects, overseeing field operations, developing client relationships, and building scalable operational systems. The ideal candidate has experience in commercial firestopping, spray fireproofing, joint sealants, commercial waterproofing, spray polyurethane foam or related specialized commercial construction services and is excited about the opportunity to help grow a new business unit. Responsibilities Lead division startup and operational development Estimate, bid, and manage commercial construction projects Oversee project execution from preconstruction through completion Ensure field installations comply with safety, quality, and code requirements Build and maintain relationships with general contractors and suppliers Support business development and division growth initiatives Train and manage operational and field personnel Collaborate with ownership on strategic planning and equipment procurement Develop systems and processes that support long-term scalability Qualifications 5+ years of experience in commercial firestopping, spray fireproofing, joint sealants, commercial waterproofing, spray polyurethane foam or related specialized commercial construction services Strong estimating, takeoff, and field operations experience Experience leading projects or teams within commercial construction Strong communication and leadership skills Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities Willingness to travel regionally Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred UL firestopping certifications or related trade certifications are a plus Compensation & Benefits $100,000 - $150,000 annual base salary Performance bonus opportunities Health, dental, vision, and life insurance 401(k) with company match Paid time off Professional development support Potential future ownership opportunities Schedule & Work Environment Full-time Potential for hybrid work environment Moderate regional travel required Based in Kansas City, KS or Houston, TX metro area
