Job Description

Summary of Job Description:
The Senior Manager, Construction Management is responsible for leading and managing a construction management team and managing construction-related vendor relationships. This position develops and elevates associate performance to support the company's growth strategies. The Senior Manager, Construction Management works with Construction Managers, Development Managers, General Contractors, Architects, and other assigned service vendors to ensure that the vendors selected fit Panda's Culture and philosophy, have the necessary capacity, and provide the highest quality and timely delivery. This position manages the Construction Management team responsible for updating information in the RD Project Management System to ensure construction projects are completed on time and within budget.
Job Responsibilities:
Leads, manages, and develops a Construction Management team by coaching associates, supporting hiring and retention efforts, and elevating performance to align with and support company growth strategies. Oversees and manages key construction service vendors and suppliers, ensuring alignment with Panda's culture and values, sufficient capacity, and consistent delivery of high‑quality work within established timelines. Manages and strengthens vendor and internal stakeholder relationships by negotiating scopes of work, proactively anticipating changes, resolving complex issues, and ensuring timely fulfillment of internal and external requests. Trains and supports teams on construction management processes and systems, ensuring Construction Managers are equipped with the documentation, data, and tools necessary to select qualified general contractors and vendors. Evaluates and improves construction management processes, tools, and workflows to increase efficiency and streamline project delivery. Ensures timely and accurate execution of administrative and financial controls, including issuing purchase orders, reviewing invoices, processing change orders, and approving vendor invoices and chargebacks with a high degree of accuracy. Collaborates with the construction leadership team to execute key construction initiatives and prepares analytical reports for Construction and Restaurant Development leadership on project status, performance, and overall construction progress as needed.

  • Benefits available for eligible permanent full time associates Your background & experience: Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Business Administration, Construction Management, Engineering or related field Minimum seven years of construction project coordination experience, with increasing management responsibility, preferably in a retail/hospitality organization Obtaining a valid Food Handler's Card within 30 days of employment is a requirement of this position.
If hired, completion of annual store training.
Pay Range:
M3: $127,000 - $178,000 / Annual
  • Within the range, individual pay is determined using various factors, including work location and experience.
