Charleston, SC Type of Construction/Work they perform: Residential & Commercial Construction / Remodeling Job Overview Solid Building Partners is seeking a highly organized and detail-driven Office Administrator / Bookkeeper to support our residential and commercial construction operations in Charleston, South Carolina. This role is critical to keeping our office, financial systems, and project teams running efficiently. The ideal candidate brings construction bookkeeping experience, strong administrative skills, and the professionalism required to support a high-end, client-focused construction firm. This position combines bookkeeping, payroll support, and office administration, requiring discretion, accuracy, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Administrative Responsibilities Set agendas and coordinate weekly team meetings Assist with recruiting efforts, interview scheduling, and onboarding processes Maintain new hire documentation, employee handbooks, and internal policies Prepare employee review and performance improvement documentation for management Keep internal business playbooks and procedures up to date Support award submissions, branding initiatives, and company marketing efforts Assist with website updates and social media coordination Manage company branding items (apparel, decals, materials, etc.) Bookkeeping & Accounting Responsibilities Manage financial records within QuickBooks and JobTread Integrate and maintain synchronization between QuickBooks and JobTread Process invoices, purchase orders, and client billing Manage accounts payable and receivable Prepare weekly cash flow reports for leadership Print and organize check runs and manage bill due dates Support payroll processing through ADP Manage client draws and security deposit refundsTrack and maintain Certificates of Insurance (COIs) for vendors and subcontractors Maintain detailed notes and documentation within JobTread Qualifications 3+ years of bookkeeping experience within a construction company 3+ years of office administration experience in construction, real estate, or property management Strong attention to detail and financial accuracy Proficiency in QuickBooks (construction accounting experience required) Working knowledge of JobTread or similar construction project management software Proficiency with Google Suite and DocuSign Excellent organizational, time-management, and communication skills Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism Associate's degree preferred Certified Bookkeeper preferred Compensation & Benefits $25 - $30.00 per hour Bi-weekly pay cycle Medical insurance Paid Time Off (holidays, vacation, sick time) Paid training and certifications Tech package (smartphone or tablet) Stable, professional work environment with long-term growth opportunity Work Schedule Monday - Friday Approximately 20-40 hours per week, depending on business needs On-site position Work Location Charleston, South Carolina In-office role supporting local residential and commercial construction projects Equal Employment Opportunity We are proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
