Job Description

Estep Builders is a small company who's true purpose is to serve those around us through the gifts the Lord has blessed us with. We build residential homes and garages in the Upstate and we are looking for a skilled project manager to manage multiply projects at once. If you want to be apart of a small team, with the opportunity to have your voice heard and direct access to decision making this position will be great for you. Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a residential project manager located in Chesnee, SC. The residential project manager will oversee the planning, execution, and completion of residential construction projects. Daily responsibilities include coordinating project schedules, managing contractors and suppliers, supervising inspections, expediting materials, ensuring project quality and compliance, and ensuring timely and cost-effective project delivery. Maintaining clear communication with clients and team members, is crucial for this role. Qualifications Minimum 3+ years of experience in residential construction project management, with a proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously Strong knowledge of residential construction methods, materials, sequencing, and best practices from sitework through final punch Demonstrated ability to manage subcontractors, schedules, and budgets across multiple active job sites Experience coordinating all phases of new home construction including permitting, site development, framing, MEP rough-ins, finishes, and closeout Ability to read, interpret, and execute construction drawings, specifications, and scopes of work with precision Strong understanding of local building codes, inspections, and regulatory requirements (South Carolina experience preferred) Proven ability to create and manage detailed project schedules and maintain timelines in a fast-paced environment Experience managing project budgets, tracking costs, reviewing invoices, and preventing cost overruns Skilled in subcontractor negotiation, scope alignment, and quality control enforcement High level of organization with the ability to manage documentation, selections, change orders, and client communication Experience using construction management software (JobTread) Strong leadership skills with the ability to hold subcontractors accountable while maintaining professional relationships Excellent communication skills with clients, vendors, and internal team members Ability to proactively identify problems and implement solutions before they impact schedule or budget Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality finished products Benefits Company Vehicle Fuel Card Paid Time off
