Job Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Paving Specialist to join our dynamic construction team, focusing on paving operations across various projects. This role involves overseeing all aspects of paving work, managing teams, ensuring safety compliance, and maintaining high-quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong construction management skills, extensive paving experience, and proficiency with industry-standard software and technical tools. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead paving projects from start to finish while contributing to the successful completion of large-scale construction initiatives. Duties Lead and supervise paving crews to ensure efficient and safe execution of paving operations in accordance with project specifications and safety regulations. Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and construction plans to accurately execute paving tasks aligned with project requirements. Coordinate project scheduling using Primavera P6 and other construction management software to meet deadlines and optimize resource allocation. Review construction drawings for accuracy, identify potential issues, and collaborate with engineers and project managers to resolve discrepancies. Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and crew members to ensure quality control, adherence to budgets, and timely project delivery. Enforce OSHA standards and federal construction safety regulations on-site to maintain a safe working environment for all personnel. Oversee construction site activities including blueprint reading, construction safety management, quality assurance, and progress reporting. Utilize tools such as ProCore, Bluebeam, HeavyBid, Primavera P6, and Ohmmeter for project documentation, measurement verification, and technical assessments. Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, enforce safety protocols, and ensure compliance with construction regulations. Manage project budgets, track costs using HeavyBid or similar tools, and prepare detailed reports for stakeholders. Supervise the interpretation of technical drawings and technical specifications related to paving projects including pipeline installations when applicable. Experience Proven heavy civil or commercial construction experience with a focus on paving projects. Demonstrated supervisory experience managing teams in a fast-paced construction environment. Strong background in construction scheduling using Primavera P6 or equivalent software. Familiarity with construction management software such as ProCore and Bluebeam for documentation and communication purposes. Knowledge of OSHA standards and federal safety regulations specific to heavy civil or commercial projects. Experience reading blueprints, technical drawings, and interpreting engineering plans related to paving or pipeline work. Hands-on experience with construction site safety management, quality control procedures, and crew supervision. Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining high standards of safety and quality in accordance with industry regulations. $22.00 - $40.00 per hour
