Job Description
Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced New Construction Plumbing Superintendent to lead and oversee plumbing installation projects from inception to completion for a single site new construction, residental project. Pay is based on experience - salary, plus benefit and incentives to exceed 100k for the right candidate. All levels of experience will be considered. This role is vital in ensuring that all plumbing systems for new construction developments are executed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive construction management experience, and a deep understanding of plumbing systems, technical drawings, and safety regulations. As a key player on our team, you will coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and clients to deliver outstanding results on time and within budget. Duties Lead and manage all plumbing activities on new construction sites, ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, and safety standards. Supervise plumbing crews, assign tasks, monitor progress, and provide mentorship to foster a productive work environment. Review blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to interpret project requirements accurately. Coordinate with project management teams using construction management software such as ProCore, Primavera P6, HeavyBid, and Bluebeam for scheduling, budgeting, and documentation. Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and federal construction safety standards by implementing rigorous safety protocols on-site. Oversee quality control processes by inspecting plumbing installations and conducting technical evaluations using tools like ohmmeters for electrical testing. Manage subcontractor contracts, procurement of materials, and ensure timely delivery of plumbing components aligned with project timelines. Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, address issues proactively, and maintain high standards of safety and workmanship. Requirements Proven experience in heavy commercial or federal construction projects with a strong background in plumbing installation supervision. Extensive knowledge of construction management software including ProCore, Primavera P6, Bluebeam, Primavera, HeavyBid, and other relevant tools. Demonstrated ability to read and interpret complex construction drawings and technical specifications. Strong understanding of construction scheduling techniques and project management principles. Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations as well as federal construction safety standards; certification preferred. Hands-on experience supervising teams in a fast-paced construction environment with excellent crew management skills. Ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail in quality control practices. Excellent managerial communication skills for effective collaboration with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams. Valid knowledge of construction regulations related to plumbing systems in commercial settings; experience with pipeline installation is a plus. Technical proficiency with Ohmmeters or similar electrical testing devices; ability to interpret technical data accurately.
