Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Traveling Superintendent to oversee construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, with expertise in project scheduling, budgeting, and quality control. The Superintendent will ensure that all work is completed safely, on time, and within budget while maintaining high standards of quality. Responsibilities Manage daily operations on the construction site, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and OSHA standards. Supervise and coordinate the activities of subcontractors and laborers to ensure project milestones are met. Utilize construction management software such as ProCore and Primavera P6 for project scheduling and tracking progress. Review blueprints, schematics, and contracts to ensure understanding of project specifications. Conduct regular site inspections to monitor quality control and adherence to project timelines. Prepare and manage budgets, including construction estimating and resource allocation. Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including clients, architects, and engineers throughout the project lifecycle. Implement quality assurance processes to maintain high standards in all aspects of construction work. Requirements Proven experience in construction management with a strong understanding of construction site operations. Proficiency in construction management software such as Bluebeam, HeavyBid, and Primavera. Strong knowledge of project scheduling techniques and budgeting principles. Experience with contracts management and understanding of legal implications in construction projects. Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to lead teams effectively. Familiarity with pipeline construction practices is a plus. Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for quality control measures. Previous experience using an ohmmeter or similar tools is advantageous.
