Job Description

A well-established family-owned construction company in Southeast South Dakota is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join their team as part of long-term succession planning due to upcoming retirements. This company performs a variety of construction projects and also operates a trucking division involving side dumps, belly dumps, and material hauling. They are looking for a versatile, organized leader who enjoys variety in day-to-day operations and is willing to jump in wherever needed. Responsibilities Oversee daily construction and trucking operations Coordinate crews, equipment, schedules, and logistics Assist with project planning, estimating, and job tracking Support concrete, flatwork, and site operations Communicate with field crews, customers, suppliers, and ownership Help maintain safety, quality, and production goals Troubleshoot field and operational issues as they arise Qualifications 10+ years of construction industry experience Leadership or operations management background Strong understanding of concrete, flatwork, trucking, or heavy civil operations Experience with scheduling, logistics, and project coordination Project management and estimating experience preferred Strong communication and organizational skills Self-motivated, dependable, and team-oriented Willingness to be hands-on and help where needed What They Offer Stable, long-term opportunity with a respected family-owned company Variety in projects and responsibilities Strong company culture and leadership support Competitive compensation based on experience Opportunity to grow into a key leadership role If you are a well-rounded construction professional looking for an opportunity to make an impact within a growing company, this could be a great fit.
