Job Description

Flatland Excavating is looking for a Site Superintendent who knows how to take a project from the first shovel in the ground to the final closeout with precision, quality, and confidence. What You'll Do Take ownership of your assigned jobsites from start to finish. Execute project plans and specifications accurately and efficiently. Coordinate crews, equipment, materials, and subcontractors to keep work moving. Lead daily operations with a focus on safety, quality, and schedule. Conduct safety meetings, enforce OSHA standards, and maintain a compliant site. Ensure all work meets specs, drawings, and company quality expectations. Oversee inspections, resolve issues quickly, and document progress clearly. Communicate regularly with your Operations Manager on project updates, delays, and challenges. Complete thorough daily reports and assist with change orders and job documentation. What You Bring Proven construction field experience—water and sewer background a plus. Leadership experience as a Superintendent or Lead Foreman. Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings. Familiarity with HeavyJob or similar project management systems preferred.
