Job Description

If you are looking for a dynamic and ever changing job utilizing leadership, organizational, and conflict-resolution skills, all while building relationships and mitigating risks to create a building or project that leads to a wow factor, then construction project management could be the perfect career choice. A Project Manager will coordinate and plan projects from start to finish with a variety of tasks incorporated in seeing the construction project brought to life from a design to a finished product. Superb communication skills will assist the well adapted and flexible Project Manager oversee various people and events all while ensure the bottom line, safety, schedule, and quality are maintained. Candidate is required to work on-site in Cookeville office. Primary Responsibilities Procure subcontractors, engineers/architects, and vendors to meet project scope, schedule, and budget requirements. Negotiate contracts, schedules, and related agreements. Manage job costs and track financial performance. Oversee all project documentation, including subcontracts, meeting minutes, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and related records. Allocate resources effectively while mitigating project risks. Maintain regular communication with clients to ensure needs and expectations are met. Provide updates on schedule, design intent, material selections, and any requested changes. Review project progress daily with the Field Manager to ensure codes, deliveries, and schedules are maintained within budget. Review drawings and specifications for accuracy, compliance, and potential errors, omissions, or missing scope. Prepare and review financial reporting tools to monitor budget performance and flag potential issues: Track internal and external expectations. Capture all cost and schedule changes. Prepare client invoices to ensure sufficient project cash flow by analyzing subcontractor invoices, construction progress, and projected costs. Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field, or equivalent construction experience with a solid understanding of the industry Experience with (or ability to quickly learn) construction-specific software such as ProCore, Primavera SureTrak, and Viewpoint Ability to read building plans and understand overall construction processes to drive projects to successful completion while collaborating with clients, field managers, design teams, subcontractors, and vendors Strong time management skills to maintain budgets, schedule meetings, process invoices, manage documentation, and keep communication open Proven ability to manage deadlines and adapt in fast-paced, changing environments across multiple projects Skilled in conflict resolution, with the ability to diffuse issues and communicate effectively with all stakeholders Strong interpersonal skills to foster relationships and mediate challenges with clients, subcontractors, and team members Adaptability to shifting demands and priorities while maintaining focus on project success Analytical skills to evaluate situations and propose effective solutions Demonstrated management and delegation capabilities Commitment to financial integrity and accountability Critical thinking skills and sound judgment under pressure Benefits offered after 60 days of employment.
