Job Description

Job Summary:
OPEX Corporation is currently seeking a dynamic, experienced Installation Manager to oversee the successful deployment of advanced automated storage, retrieval, and conveying systems. This is a high-impact, highly visible role where you'll play a critical part in bringing complex systems to life from early planning through installation, commissioning, and full operational handoff. We're looking for a confident leader who thrives in fast-paced, technical environments and enjoys solving complex challenges. This remote position requires 50% travel both domestically and internationally.
Responsibilities:
Oversee installation, commissioning, integration, and final system handoff to ensure successful project completion. Manage timelines, milestones, and deliverables while ensuring projects stay on track and within budget. Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, reduce costs, and improve overall installation processes. Work closely with engineering, project coordinators, installation teams, and external vendors to ensure alignment and efficiency. Build strong, lasting relationships with customers by providing expert guidance and support throughout the lifecycle of each project. Plan and allocate labor, materials, and equipment needed for successful installation and execution. Perform site surveys to evaluate feasibility, identify risks, and proactively solve challenges before installation begins. Visit and support active installation sites, ensuring high-quality execution and resolving issues in real time. Ensure smooth ramp-up into production and successful handoff to service teams.
Qualifications:
Proven experience managing installations in material handling, conveying, or industrial automation environments Must be able to travel domestically and internationally for extended periods Strong project management skills with a track record of delivering on time and within budget Technical understanding of automated systems and electromechanical equipment is strongly preferred Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams, including remote personnel Excellent communication and relationship-building skills Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and influence cross-functional teams
Work Environment:
Working on a job site during active installations of advanced automated systems
Salary Range:
$75,000-$80,000/yr, depending on experience and qualifications
