This is a project-based contract assignment with an expected duration of 6+ months with the possibility of going direct. The Assistant Project Manager will support the planning, execution, and successful delivery of electrical construction projects. This role is ideal for an individual with a background in construction management, engineering, or project coordination who is looking to advance their career in project management. The Assistant Project Manager will work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, field personnel, subcontractors, and clients to help manage project schedules, budgets, procurement activities, documentation, and field coordination. Key Responsibilities Assist Project Managers with the planning and execution of industrial and commercial electrical construction projects. Coordinate project activities with clients, contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel. Support project scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, and cost tracking efforts. Review project drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, and change orders. Monitor project progress and assist in identifying and resolving issues that may impact schedule, quality, or budget. Participate in project meetings and maintain accurate project documentation and records. Assist with contract administration and ensure compliance with project requirements. Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress, verify work completion, and support field operations. Promote and support a strong safety culture on all project sites. Prepare project reports and communicate project status updates to management and clients. Qualifications Associates degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Building Construction, or a related field preferred. Equivalent construction and skilled trade experience will be considered in lieu of a degree. 2+ years of experience supporting construction projects, preferably within electrical, industrial, manufacturing, commercial, or heavy industrial environments. Understanding of construction project management principles, scheduling, and contract administration. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents. Experience coordinating contractors, subcontractors, and field personnel. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Project. Ability to travel to project sites as needed.
