Position Summary The Commercial Construction Superintendent is responsible for the day-to-day supervision of construction projects, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with project plans and specifications. This role serves as the on-site leader, coordinating subcontractors, inspectors, and internal teams from project start through closeout. Key Responsibilities Oversee all on-site construction activities for ground-up and tenant finish-out projects Manage daily scheduling, sequencing, and coordination of subcontractors and vendors Ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and local building codes Enforce jobsite safety standards and conduct regular safety meetings and inspections Coordinate inspections, permits, and approvals with local authorities Maintain project schedules and proactively identify and resolve issues that may impact timeline or cost Communicate regularly with Project Managers regarding progress, changes, and risks Review and manage quality control throughout all phases of construction Maintain accurate daily logs, site reports, and photo documentation Lead punch list completion and turnover processes to ensure a successful project closeout Qualifications 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction Experience with both ground-up construction and tenant improvement/finish-out projects Strong knowledge of construction methods, building systems, and sequencing Familiarity with OSHA standards and jobsite safety requirements Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Proficiency with construction management software preferred Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites as needed What We Offer Competitive compensation based on experience Health, dental, and vision insurance Short and long-term disability, and basic life insurance 401(k) with company match Paid time off and holidays Forge Constructors is an equal opportunity employer and values integrity, teamwork, and craftsmanship in everything we build.
