Role Number:
200661998-0157 In Places, we don't sit back and let things happen; we make things happen, and we do this in service to all Apple employees and customers. Our team is a diverse and nimble group that manages Apple's retail stores, workplaces, and workplace services. We develop and manage Apple's global real estate portfolio, lead all related capital construction projects, provide outstanding facilities and site services, develop and lead sustainability initiatives to reduce the environmental impact of all Apple facilities, including commute and renewable energy programs, and do everything we can to ensure the health and safety of all Apple personnel, facilities, and customers in our facilities around the world.

As part of our Places Construction team, you'll play a significant role in transforming spaces intofunctional corporate offices and product development centers. We're seeking a highly motivated and experienced Construction Project Manager to own the end-to-end delivery of our key capital projects, including the delivery of high-design workplaces and technically complex laboratory fit-outs. This role requires a unique blend of skills—the ability to implement an elevated design vision with meticulous attention to detail, deep technical expertise, and strong project management discipline. Description As the Construction Project Manager, you will be the key point of contact for project delivery to partners and leadership, responsible for taking projects from initial concept through design, construction, commissioning, and final handover. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who thrives on coordinating with a diverse group of stakeholders—including executive leadership, internal cross-functional partners, architects, engineers, and general contractors—to deliver inspiring and functional spaces on time and within budget.
Responsibilities Scope & Strategy:
Translate end-user operational requirements into actionable design criteria, defining project scope, goals, and deliverables in partnership with key stakeholders.
Planning & Procurement:
Develop comprehensive project plans (budgets, schedules, risk mitigation) and drive the selection process for architects, engineers, general contractors, and critical vendors.
Design Oversight:
Direct the design development process, acting as the primary liaison between internal partners and design teams to balance architectural vision with functional and budgetary needs.
Facility Handover:
Orchestrate a seamless transition to end-users by coordinating detailed handover plans, punch lists, final inspections, and occupancy permits.
Administrative & Financial Closeout:
Drive the final financial reconciliation and ensure the compilation of all critical project documentation, including as-built drawings, warranties, and O&M manuals.
Technical Compliance:
Coordinate complex MEP and process utility designs while managing all permitting and regulatory approvals with local authorities.
Site Leadership & Quality:
Serve as the owner's representative on-site, enforcing uncompromising standards for safety, quality, and craftsmanship in a highly technical environment.
Project Controls:
Rigorously manage budgets, schedules, and change orders, proactively resolving delays and controlling costs.
Stakeholder Communication:
Lead regular project meetings and deliver clear, consistent progress reporting to cross-functional partners and senior management. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent practical experience. 10+ years of progressive project management experience, backed by a robust portfolio of successfully delivered, complex construction builds. End-to-end expertise across the complete project lifecycle, from initial programming and design through final commissioning and closeout. Advanced financial acumen with a proven track record of managing high-value project budgets, including cost tracking, forecasting, and rigorous reporting. Flexibility to travel to various project sites, vendor locations, and regional offices as required Preferred Qualifications 12 years of progressive experience in construction project management. Demonstrated experience managing high-design architectural projects where aesthetic quality and finish were paramount. Ability to drive progress across diverse cross-functional teams through collaboration. A self-starter with a powerful sense of ownership and a "no-task-is-too-small" demeanor. An eye for quality and the rigor to ensure nothing is overlooked in both design and technical execution. Excellent communication, consensus building, and interpersonal skills with ability to articulate sophisticated ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. Thrives in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and navigates ambiguity with confidence. Identifies potential issues before they become problems and develops creative, effective solutions. Apple is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to inclusion and diversity. We seek to promote equal opportunity for all applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, Veteran status, or other legally protected characteristics. At Apple, we believe accessibility is a fundamental human right. You'll find that idea reflected in everything here — in our culture, our benefits and our digital tools. By welcoming as many perspectives as possible, we help you build a career where you feel like you belong. Apple accepts applications to this posting on an ongoing basis.
