Utility Scale Solar Construction Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled General Foreman to oversee the construction of utility-scale solar projects. The General Foreman will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful completion of solar installations, managing teams, coordinating activities, and adhering to safety and quality standards. This position requires strong leadership abilities, technical expertise in solar construction, and exceptional organizational skills.

Responsibilities:

Project Management:

Lead the construction team in all phases of utility-scale solar projects, from pre-construction planning to completion. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure timely and efficient execution of tasks. 2.

Team Leadership:

Supervise and motivate on-site personnel, including construction crews, subcontractors, and other laborers. Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure compliance with project requirements and safety protocols. 3.

Schedule Management:

Develop and maintain project schedules, allocate resources effectively, and monitor progress to ensure project milestones are met. Proactively identify potential delays or obstacles and implement solutions to keep projects on track. 4.

Quality Assurance:

Uphold high standards of workmanship and quality control throughout the construction process. Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with design specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. 5.

Safety Compliance:

Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations on-site. Conduct safety meetings, inspections, and training sessions to promote a culture of safety awareness and minimize the risk of accidents or injuries. 6.

Cost Control:

Monitor project budgets, expenses, and resource utilization to optimize efficiency and minimize costs. Identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising on quality or safety standards. 7.

Communication:

Maintain clear and effective communication channels with project stakeholders, including clients, management, and subcontractors. Provide regular progress reports, address concerns promptly, and facilitate resolution of any issues that may arise. 8.

Problem Solving:

Identify and address construction challenges, technical issues, and conflicts as they arise. Implement innovative solutions and strategies to overcome obstacles and ensure project objectives are achieved.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred. Proven experience (5+ years) in utility-scale solar construction, with a track record of successful project management. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams effectively. Thorough understanding of solar construction techniques, equipment, and materials. Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera). In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in the construction industry. Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to resolving issues. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with stakeholders at all levels. OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Certification preferred. Willingness to travel and work in diverse environments as required by project locations.
