Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Construction Project Manager to lead and oversee underground utility construction projects from inception to completion. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage multiple projects, and ensure the successful delivery of high-quality construction work. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction management, excellent leadership skills, and proficiency with industry-standard project management software. Duties Lead the planning, execution, and closing of construction projects, ensuring they meet scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards. Develop detailed project schedules; coordinate construction schedule updates regularly. Manage project budgets through cost management strategies, including construction estimating and HeavyBid software, ensuring financial targets are met. Oversee construction site activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and environmental standards. Coordinate with clients, contractors, subcontractors, and internal teams to facilitate effective communication and project alignment. Review construction plans to guide on-site activities. Utilize construction management software like ProCore, and Microsoft Office tools for documentation, reporting, and project tracking. Manage contracts and procurement processes; negotiate terms with vendors while maintaining project timelines. Lead project teams by managing personnel on-site and in the office; foster teamwork and ensure adherence to project schedules. Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality control, and regulatory compliance; address issues proactively. Requirements Proven experience managing large-scale construction projects within civil or commercial sectors; familiarity with managing complex infrastructure projects is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of construction regulations, safety standards, and building codes applicable to various project types. Proficiency with project management software including HeavyBid, Procore, Construction scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office. Extensive construction site experience with a solid understanding of construction plans. Demonstrated ability to manage teams effectively in a fast-paced environment; excellent leadership skills are essential. Skilled in construction estimating, cost management, contract administration, and project scheduling coordination. Exceptional time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently across multiple projects. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with clients, stakeholders, vendors, and team members.
