Commissioning Superintendent Location:
Childress, TX (Onsite)
Compensation:
$100,000-$160,000 DOE + 12% geographic uplift, incentives, and $150/day per diem (7 days/week)
Schedule:
50-hour work week with flexibility for extended or off-shift hours as needed We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Superintendent to lead commissioning, startup, QA/QC, and system readiness activities for a large-scale high-tech construction project. This temporary position is ideal for professionals with expertise in commissioning management, MEP systems, industrial construction, and complex project coordination. Key Responsibilities Lead commissioning and startup activities from planning through system turnover.
Oversee project QA/QC programs, inspections, and subcontractor compliance.
Coordinate mechanical, electrical, low-voltage, and process system startups.
Manage startup schedules and resolve commissioning challenges to maintain project timelines.
Conduct inspections, commissioning meetings, and system readiness reviews.
Review construction documents, technical specifications, RFIs, and submittals.
Verify equipment installation, safety requirements, and operational readiness.
Support owner training, documentation management, and project closeout activities.
Collaborate with project owners, engineers, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure successful system performance. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
Minimum 5 years of commissioning management experience.
Strong background in industrial, semiconductor, mission-critical, or high-tech construction projects.
Experience with medium- and low-voltage distribution, generators, UPS systems, and large mechanical/process equipment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks.
Knowledge of Procore, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, E-Builder, or similar project management software.
