Type:
full-time
Job Description:
MMC Group is hiring for Project Operations Managers to take the reins of custom architectural projects from the moment the contract is signed until the final bolt is tightened. You are the architect of the project's success, serving as the vital link between technical design, precision manufacturing, and on-site installation.
Core Responsibilities:
Total Project Lifecycle Ownership:
Command every phase of the project post-sale, ensuring aggressive deadlines are met without compromising structural integrity or budget.
Cross-Functional Orchestration:
Act as the primary liaison between the Engineering department, the fabrication shop, and field installation crews.
Documentation & Approval Management:
Drive the submittal process, ensuring all technical drawings and material specifications are approved by stakeholders to prevent fabrication errors.
Logistics & Resource Procurement:
Oversee the complex supply chain of custom-engineered components, coordinating shipping and staging to align with site readiness.
Risk Mitigation:
Proactively identify potential bottlenecks in the design-build flow and implement immediate solutions to keep the critical path clear.
Stakeholder Diplomacy:
Maintain high-touch communication with clients and site supervisors, providing transparent updates and managing expectations throughout the build.
Required Qualifications:
Industry Experience:
3-5+ years in project management within specialty contracting, architectural fabrication, or design-build environments.
Educational Background:
Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a technical design field (preferred).
Technical Literacy:
Proficiency in reading construction documents, CAD shop drawings, and navigating integrated project management platforms.
Multitasking Prowess:
Proven ability to keep multiple high-complexity, custom projects moving simultaneously in a high-pressure environment.
Why This Role Is Unique:
Product-to-Site Focus:
Unlike traditional general contracting, this role focuses on the end-to-end delivery of specialized, high-performance structures.
Dynamic Work Environment:
A perfect split between office-based strategic planning and field-based execution coordination.
Precision Engineering:
Every project is a custom solution, requiring a deep dive into unique site constraints rather than repeating a standard blueprint.
Pay:
around $60k base, plus bonus; $70-80k OTE
