Job Description

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Residential Coordinator serves as the on-the-ground point of contact across Russo Care's group homes, supporting direct care staff and helping maintain a safe, compliant, and well-run home environment for the individuals we serve.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide oversight and support to direct support professionals (DSPs) across assigned group home(s) Conduct routine home visits/site checks for safety, cleanliness, and compliance with HCS program standards Support staff scheduling coverage and respond to callouts/gaps in real time Assist with onboarding and training of new direct care staff Document incidents, complaints, and follow up per agency and HHSC reporting requirements Coordinate with nursing, behavioral, and administrative staff on individual care needs Ensure homes are audit-ready for HHSC/state inspections at all times Run individuals' doctor appointments (transport, attendance, follow-up documentation) Complete grocery orders and individual item purchases for assigned homes
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred Minimum 1-2 years experience in IDD/HCS residential services or similar direct care setting Prior supervisory or lead experience preferred Knowledge of HCS program rules (26 TAC §565) a plus Valid Texas driver's license and reliable transportation (multi-site travel required) Ability to pass required background checks, OIG exclusion screening, and TB/health screenings Strong communication and documentation skills Comfortable working occasional evenings/weekends for coverage or emergencies
