Job Description:
The Field Assistant Superintendent serves as on-site leader and is directly responsible for labor performance, safety compliance, quality control, schedule execution, and coordination with project management and jobsite stakeholders. What We're Looking For Proven experience leading field construction crews Strong ability to organize manpower and execute work efficiently Experience reading and interpreting construction drawings/shop drawings Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Strong understanding of safety compliance and field accountability Construction Science degree or formal construction education preferred but not required Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus Proficiency with Bluebeam, Excel, and other construction technology platforms preferred Key Responsibilities Lead and manage field crews and temporary labor Drive production to meet project schedules and labor budgets Ensure all work meets quality standards and contract requirements Enforce Texas safety standards and OSHA compliance Coordinate daily with project managers, general contractors, and trade partners Track daily progress, manpower, and field reporting Mentor field personnel and uphold accountability across the jobsite
Experience:
Commercial construction: 1 year (Required)
License/Certification:
OSHA 10 (Required) OSHA 30 (Preferred) Shift availability: Day Shift (Preferred) Night Shift (Preferred) Willingness to travel: 50% (Required)
