Job Title:
Substation Construction Manager Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Substation Construction Manager to oversee a major substation project for a Data Center in Texas. The focus of this role is to manage subcontractor performance and lead a team to build a high-quality substation. Responsibilities Drive subcontractor performance to ensure timely and quality completion of the substation project. Lead subcontractor crews, managing a team of up to 25 people at a time. Oversee overall production and quality of the job site and crew operations. Ensure construction is executed according to safety, quality, and contract standards. Communicate effectively with the project team and stakeholders through standardized reporting and meetings. Essential Skills Substation Construction Management Distribution Construction Management experience Electrical distribution and power delivery knowledge Proficiency in construction document handling QA/QC expertise Strong computer and reporting skills Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with Entergy projects is a plus Background in construction, project management, transmission, safety, and electrical work Experience in Distribution and power delivery construction is highly desirable Work Environment This project will last for approximately a year, requiring field presence to coordinate subcontractor crews. The work schedule typically consists of 10-hour workdays for 5 days a week, with standard per diem and overtime offered. The role requires more than 50 hours per week, with potential for increased hours as project demands rise. Holidays and PTO are provided, with the first 40 hours of vacation billed back to the customer. The work environment is dynamic, with opportunities for future projects due to a growing footprint within Entergy and other utilities. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Lancaster, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $60.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
