Full-time Role Description:
Owns all field operations within their assigned area. Coordinates across all scopes, manages reports, maintains the area schedule. Works alongside peers; Senior Project Manager, QAQC Manager, and Safety Manager. Responsible for making sure subcontractors are performing. Subcontractors are treated as Foremen with the same authority structure. Handles internal and external field documentation. On smaller projects, a single Superintendent may own the entire Field Operations.
Skills & Qualifications:
Minimum 8 years field experience with at least 3 as a superintendent, OSHA 30, proficient with computer and iPad including Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Suite. Must collaborate effectively with all peers and project team members.
Decision Authority:
Owns field execution decisions sequencing, resource allocation, schedule recovery. Can approve field level changes not impacting cost, milestones, or design. Has non-safety stop work authority. Must elevate milestone impacts, cost implications, and design changes to direct reports
Key Responsibilities:
All responsibilities of an Assistant Superintendent. Lead and oversee all field activities, documentation, and operations on one or multiple large/complex projects. Ensure Foreman maintain accurate records. Review and approve external documentation. Direct foremen, field crews, and subcontractors to ensure operational excellence.  Serve as primary field authority. Develop and drive the project schedule in close coordination with the Senior Project Manager/Project Manager.  Coordinate all subcontract work. Lead and conduct safety meetings and champion a strong safety culture. Lead, mentor, and develop assistant superintendents, foreman and labor staff. Ensure all work meets plans and specifications. Oversee inspections, testing, and deficiency correction in the field. Plan and manage all site logistics including laydown areas, access and material flow. Schedule all material deliveries and close coordination with management team. Maintain accurate daily reports, site logs, and progress reports. Track manpower, productivity, and field changes. Report on all field changes and field directives to Project Manager. Lead final inspections and ensure readiness for all inspections and turnover. Ensure work is completed safely, cleanly, and to client expectations.
