This role oversees all field operations across multiple jobsites, ensuring that projects are executed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of quality. The General Superintendent has the ability to direct multiple project teams, coordinates manpower and equipment resources, and drives consistent performance across all scopes. Through proactive planning, mentorship, and disciplined execution, the General Superintendent ensures that every project meets the demanding requirements of mission critical environments and reinforces Kent Companies' reputation for excellence nationwide. Duties and Responsibilities Safety
  • As the job site leader, the Senior Superintendent is responsible for identifying unsafe working environments, working proactively to correct those conditions, and acting as the Safety Coach for the Team. Daily reporting, JHAs, and toolbox talks are non-negotiable. Initial Planning
  • Study construction drawings before the start date, all updates as the work progresses, and alert Project Management to errors before they become a problem. Budgets
  • Demonstrate knowledge of a job sequence and how to push a job forward safely and productively while staying within budget.
Communication / Customer
Service
  • Great communication is essential to our success and our clients' well-being. Communicating clear expectations with your Team and our clients during on-site supervision is required. Management
  • Proactively manages the job site by maintaining a detailed record of all labor, materials, and equipment and managing the deliveries and schedules to avoid delays. Supervises subcontractors, foremen, and craftsmen to ensure projects are properly executed. Responsible for managing field crews in leadership and utilizing the time clock tool ExakTime.   • Understand the quality expectations of Kent Companies' means and methods to ensure the final product meets or exceeds the requirements spelled out in our scope of work. Properly lay out all work based on drawings and given survey points. Schedule
  • Work with the Division Manager and the Project Manager to build and maintain a schedule, including updates, changes, and look-a-heads. This includes timely internal and external communication regarding all problems and changes. Cost to Complete
  • In coordination with the rest of the Division the senior superintendent is responsible for monthly financial accountability meetings, which clarify schedules to accurately reflect our spending now and in the future for remaining work on site.
Requirements Required Experience, Education, and Qualifications 10+ years of concrete construction experience at the superintendent level. 3+ years of experience on Mission Critical Projects. Ability to read blueprints. Ability to learn and utilize applicable construction technologies related to role. (Bluebeam, Autodesk construction cloud, excel, etc…) Proven experience with leading and motivating teams on a regional or national level. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Must be self-motivated, organized, able to work independently, and forward thinking. Must be comfortable with National Travel
  • up to 100% Valid driver's license.
Must have reliable transportation to the workplace(s)/ job location(s). Ability to successfully pass a background check related to driving. Ability to pass drug screening. Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and in the future. Preferred Experience, Education, and Qualifications Bilingual (English/Spanish).
