Lubbock, Texas Position Summary 5G Monarch Construction is seeking a dependable and motivated Assistant Superintendent to assist with the construction and completion of multifamily apartment projects in Lubbock, Texas. The Assistant Superintendent will work closely with the Superintendent, subcontractors, vendors, and project team to ensure that work is completed safely, correctly, and according to schedule. This position will have a strong focus on punch list completion, subcontractor coordination, scheduling deliveries, quality control, and apartment turnover. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, dependable, and willing to learn. We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic who takes ownership of assigned responsibilities and is willing to grow with the company. Responsibilities Assist the Superintendent with daily jobsite operations and construction activities. Coordinate and communicate with subcontractors to ensure scheduled work is completed. Manage apartment unit punch lists and follow up with subcontractors to ensure deficiencies are corrected. Inspect completed work for quality, workmanship, and completeness. Track subcontractor progress and communicate outstanding items to the Superintendent. Coordinate material, equipment, and jobsite deliveries. Verify that materials and equipment are available when needed to maintain project schedules. Identify construction issues, deficiencies, and potential delays and communicate them promptly. Assist with apartment turnover, final inspections, and project closeout. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized jobsite. Assist with maintaining project schedules and meeting completion deadlines. Read and understand construction plans, specifications, and scopes of work. Operate construction equipment as needed, including tracked loaders, mini excavators, and similar equipment. Perform other duties as assigned by the Superintendent or project management. Qualifications Previous construction experience required; multifamily or residential construction experience preferred. Experience with punch lists, finish work, or apartment turnover is preferred. Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with subcontractors and vendors. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Ability to identify problems and work toward practical solutions. Ability to work independently while supporting the Superintendent and project team. Willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities. Strong work ethic and dependable attendance. Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
