Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Construction Superintendent to join our dynamic construction management team. In this vital role, you will support the overall coordination and supervision of construction projects, ensuring that safety standards, quality benchmarks, and project schedules are met efficiently. Your expertise will help drive successful project delivery from inception to completion, fostering collaboration among teams and stakeholders. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your managerial skills while working on diverse commercial construction projects that challenge and inspire. Responsibilities Assist the Construction Superintendent in planning, scheduling, and coordinating daily construction activities to meet project timelines and objectives. Supervise on-site crews, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and project specifications. Review construction drawings, technical documents, and blueprints to verify accuracy and clarity before implementation. Utilize construction management software such as Houzz, and other tools to track progress, manage documentation, and update schedules. Coordinate construction schedules with project managers to optimize workflow and resource allocation while managing project deadlines effectively. Monitor site safety compliance by enforcing OSHA regulations and federal construction safety standards; conduct regular safety inspections. Assist in managing contracts, change orders, and budget tracking to ensure projects stay within scope and financial targets. Oversee quality control measures by inspecting work for compliance with plans, specifications, and building codes; document findings thoroughly. Interpret technical drawings and technical specifications accurately to guide on-site activities. Support management in managing teams through clear communication of expectations, progress updates, and issue resolution. Deliver material to the site when needed.
