You will oversee the testing, functional verification, and site acceptance of complex mission-critical mechanical, electrical, and control systems to ensure zero-downtime performance from pre-commissioning through full operational handover.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Direct and manage subcontractors, equipment vendors (OEMs), and trade partners during startup, energization, Pre-Functional Checklists (PFCs), Functional Performance Testing (FPT), and Integrated Systems Testing (IST).

Schedule & Sequence Integration:

Develop and integrate commissioning milestones into the master construction schedule, optimizing testing workflows to minimize bottlenecks during high-density equipment turnovers.

Issue & Risk Resolution:

Lead daily commissioning alignment meetings, maintain real-time deficiency logs, and drive rapid root-cause troubleshooting for complex system failures or performance gaps.

Safety & Regulatory Compliance:

Enforce strict compliance with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Permit-to-Work (PTW), NFPA 70E, and energized work procedures throughout testing phases.

Turnover & Documentation:

Review and validate third-party Cx reports, Method of Procedures (MOPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and final turnover packages to transition facilities to the owner.

ABOUT THE CANDIDATE
Role Experience:

Minimum 3+ years of direct management/leadership experience in a Commissioning Manager role.

Mission-Critical Track Record:

8+ years of total experience in MEP construction, start-up, or field testing, with significant exposure to hyperscale or large-scale colocation data center builds.

Technical Expertise:

Advanced understanding of high-voltage power distribution, medium-voltage switchgear, UPS systems, utility substations, generators, chillers, CRAHs/AHUs, BMS/EPMS, and SCADA systems.

Testing Execution:

Demonstrated hands-on experience managing Level 4 (Functional Performance Testing) and Level 5 (Integrated Systems Testing / Blackout Testing) for multi-megawatt or gigawatt-scale infrastructure.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent field experience. Certifications (Preferred): CCP (Certified Commissioning Professional), CxA (Commissioning Authority), PMP, or OSHA 30.
