Job Duties:
Manages small to medium-sized projects, ensuring alignment with construction schedules, safety protocols, and quality standards, while leading trade partners to successful completion. Manages team dynamics, assigns tasks, and resolves conflicts to maintain effective operations. Leads site meetings, sets expectations, and ensures all team members fulfill their responsibilities. Manages labor, equipment, and material resources across multiple trades and areas of work. Anticipates field needs based on the three-week lookahead and coordinates with the project team to ensure timely delivery and usage. Leads field-level discussions on progress, safety, and site logistics while maintaining close coordination with the Project Manager (PM) and Client Executive (CE). Facilitates pull plan sessions and integrates trade commitments into short-interval schedules. Works closely with trade foremen to uphold commitments and proactively manages sequencing to maintain schedule flow. Leads progress tracking and reporting across multiple trades or zones. Maintains accountability through daily check-ins, trade partner meetings, and visual indicators of production. Assists with ensuring adherence to trade partner agreements for small projects. Supports communication of contract terms, ensuring they are clear and adhered to in the field. Manages day-to-day cost control in the field, including labor, logistics, equipment, and temp facilities. Leads budget-related conversations with trade partners and field staff. Leads day-to-day schedule management for small to medium projects, including facilitating pull planning sessions and updating the lookahead schedule. Leads the use of Lean dashboards for their assigned areas of work, maintaining Percent Plan Complete (PPC) tracking, constraint logs, and visual metrics. Develops and manages field documentation processes for small to medium projects, ensuring all records are accurately organized, tracked, and stored. Manages on-site safety compliance for small to medium projects. Oversees the integration of safety protocols into all site activities and ensures adherence to safety regulations. Develops and manages the Quality Assurance (QA) process for small to medium construction projects. Ensures all QA protocols are followed and that field deliverables meet or exceed required standards. Develops and manages the on-site change management process for small to medium projects, including overseeing scope changes with trade partners and project stakeholders. Develops and manages the billing processes for small to medium projects, ensuring invoices are accurate, compliant, and submitted on time. Develops and manages the on-site close-out process for small to medium projects, ensuring compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements. Leads final inspections and ensures that punch list items are documented, addressed, and resolved efficiently.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Construction Science, Civil Engineering or related field and 5 years of experience managing construction projects.
Experience must include:
Implementing the Last Planner System in project production, utilizing Lean tools including Visual Communication, Constraint Management, Pull-Planning, Percent Plan Complete (PPC), Eight Wastes and Root Cause Analysis (RCA), to manage workflow and track commitments Technical Medical systems including medical gas systems, Mechanical Electrical Plumbing (MEP) systems, and shielding Managing safety and infection control, including advanced knowledge of Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA) Documenting project progress using various tools and software including Procore and StructionSite Creating and maintaining project schedule and three (3) week look ahead using logic and critical path method (CPM), and Microsoft Project or Oracle Primavera P6 Compliance with jurisdictional requirements, permits, and inspections, including but not limited to Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Texas Department of Health and Safety (TDHS) Navigating trade partner contracts across multiple disciplines with ability to ensure adherence to contract terms.
