Primary Purpose:
Responsible for the day-to-day center operations to ensure program quality and compliance at the center-level for students enrolled in the Texas ACE Program, as determined by the Nita M. Lowey 21st Century Community Learning Centers (CCLC) Grant.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Bachelor's degree required Teaching certification preferred
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to meet the needs of people from various social, educational, and economic backgrounds Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to meet deadlines Strong program, administrative and computer skills for record keeping, data entry and scheduling Ability to problem-solve and find solutions in a fast-paced environment
Experience:
Working knowledge of local youth/family services and organizations Supervising children in grades K-12 Background in education and/or social work preferred

Major Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Implement the Texas ACE Program, under the direction of the Texas ACE Project Specialist, to incorporate meaningful educational connections to school-day learning. 2. Communicate with Campus Administrators, service providers, and other community partners to ensure a seamless delivery of services. 3. Understand the Texas ACE Vision, Mission, and Objectives; articulate to staff, administrators, students, families, and community leaders as needed. 4. Meet regularly with Texas ACE Project Specialist and Grant Director to address program progress, issues, and future needs/direction. 5. Maintain a working knowledge of all Texas ACE program requirements. 6. Create and monitor program activities to ensure high-quality services are provided to enrolled students. 7. Monitor student attendance and other pertinent data for compliance with program rules and regulations. 8. Coordinate recruitment and enrollment of student participants. 9. Create meaningful opportunities to build relationships with parents through monthly family engagement events. 10. Provide ongoing support to other Texas ACE staff, including but not limited to, entering into the TX21st database, ordering program supplies, tracking program expenditures, and compiling information for the grant. 11. Train and develop Texas ACE Afterschool staff through working with Texas ACE Project Specialist and contracted services to assess personnel performance of program staff and develop professional training to address gaps and/or to enhance existing positive traits while fostering a train-the-trainer atmosphere. 12. Attend all required Texas ACE and Robinson ISD trainings, webinars, conference calls and meetings. 13. Ensure a high-quality, safe, and supportive environment for program participants, staff, and partners. 14. Establish an environment of success through positive staff morale and program achievement. 15. Manage the use of office facilities and program spaces to ensure a clean, orderly, and safe office. 16. Be available to work flexible hours to accommodate evening and weekend activities. School/Community Relations 17. Attend and be visible at campus, district, and community functions to support the efforts of students, staff, and patrons. 18. Articulate the district's mission to the community and solicit its support in realizing its mission. 19. Demonstrate awareness of school-community needs and initiate activities to meet those needs based on the grant. 19. Use appropriate and effective techniques to encourage community and parent involvement.
Other Duties:
20. Performs other duties as assigned by the ACE Program Director, Assistant Superintendent or Superintendent of Schools.
