Job Description

The City of Robinson is seeking a full time Customer Service Specialist to join our team. This position provides front-line customer service and administrative support across multiple service areas including utility billing, municipal court, and park facility rentals. Also performs clerical, cashiering, and data entry functions; assists customers in person and by phone; processes payments; and supports departmental operations as needed. Serves as a backup to Municipal Court operations and assists with scheduling and coordination of park rentals.
Qualifications:
ACCEPTABLE EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING
High School Diploma or GED required. Minimum one (1) year of experience operating a computer and performing routine clerical or customer service duties. Experience in municipal services, court operations, or utility billing is preferred. Must be bondable. Essential Functions Include:
Answers customer service inquiries and complaints related to utilities, municipal court, park rentals, and general City services. Receives, processes, and reconciles payments for utilities, municipal court, and other City services. Posts payment information to customer accounts and maintains accurate records. Assists with municipal court operations as needed, including serving as backup for court clerical functions. Coordinates and processes park and facility rental reservations, including scheduling, payments, and customer communication. Takes deposits for water, sewer, and garbage services as well as orders for new water and sewer connections. Responds to customer service requests such as leaks, rereads, and service issues; prepares work and repair orders. Prepares and distributes customer billing statements, notices, and correspondence. Provides front-line support for multiple departments, directing inquiries and requests appropriately. Files and maintains records including meter orders, payment records, court-related documents, and work orders. Receives and documents service requests and reported issues, entering them into the City's request management system for departmental review and action. Operates various types of office equipment, i.e. computer, calculator, copy machine, collator,postage machine etc. Maintains inventory of supplies and materials used. Assists with the collection, sorting, and distribution of incoming and outgoing mail, ensuring timely routing of departmental correspondence.
Pay:
$19.65 - $21.00 per hour
