Job Description
Job Overview Seeking a dedicated and experienced Construction Estimator/Project Manager to oversee, estimate, and manage construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial construction management, with the ability to effectively coordinate resources, manage timelines, and ensure project quality. This role requires excellent negotiation skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders, including contractors, clients, and team members. Our company works on commercial construction projects, so you MUST be familiar with the construction of commercial buildings such as offices, warehouses, retail, mixed use buildings, etc., and be familiar with cost structures, and timelines for these projects. Duties Lead and manage all phases of construction projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets. Develop comprehensive project plans that outline scope, objectives, resources, and schedules. Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to secure favorable terms and pricing. Utilize construction estimating techniques to prepare accurate project budgets. Implement cost control measures to monitor expenses and maintain budget compliance. Oversee daily operations on the construction site, ensuring safety protocols are followed. Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other professionals to ensure project specifications are met. Conduct regular site inspections to assess progress and quality of work. Prepare reports on project status for stakeholders, addressing any issues or delays promptly. Maintain daily communication with the owner regarding progress on each project. Skills Able to read and understand construction drawings/architectural plans Strong knowledge of construction management principles and practices. Proficiency in construction estimating. Excellent negotiation skills for contract discussions and price agreements. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Strong organizational skills with a focus on cost control and project management. Effective communication skills for collaboration with team members and stakeholders. Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in the construction industry.
