Title:
Construction Manager KBR Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) provides holistic and value-added solutions across the entire asset life cycle. These include world-class licensed process technologies, differentiated advisory services, deep technical domain expertise, energy transition solutions, high-end design capabilities, and smart solutions to optimize planned and operating assets. KBR is seeking a Construction Manager who will be responsible for leading on-site construction teams including
HSE, QA, CM
Supervision, and Commissioning teams. This role coordinates projects to be delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality and regulatory standards, while leading cross-functional teams and contractors. This role supports the Site team lead to get an alignment between engineering design and construction delivery, and drives performance across schedule, cost, safety, and quality objectives planning, coordinating, and executing all construction activities at an industrial site. Functional job responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Project Execution & Delivery Lead all on-site construction activities from mobilization to commissioning. Develop and manage construction schedules aligned with overall project timelines. Monitor progress and implement corrective actions to meet milestones. Works towards achieving an efficient allocation of labor, equipment, and materials. Safety & Compliance Promote and enforce a strong safety culture (HSE) across the site. Coordinate project activities to comply with local regulations, environmental standards, and company policies. Coordinate safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations. Drive zero-incident performance and continuous safety improvement. Contractor & Vendor Management Oversee contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers' performance and compliance. Review work plans, method statements, and permits. Manage contract execution, including scope, cost, and adherence to schedule. Resolve disputes and ensure alignment with project objectives. Quality Assurance & Control Actively work towards meeting engineering specifications and quality standards and all the construction activities. Implement QA/QC plans and oversee inspections and testing. Address non-conformities and ensure proper documentation. Stakeholder Coordination Coordinate with engineering, procurement, operations, and project management teams. Act as the primary site interface for internal and external stakeholders. Provide regular updates to senior leadership on progress, risks, and issues. Budget & Cost Control Monitor construction budgets and track expenditures. Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety. Manage change orders, claims, and cost variations. Team Leadership Lead, coach, and develop site teams, including supervisors and engineers. Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability and collaboration. Directs, assigns work and supervises the performance of direct reports. Provides trusted leadership for an effective and cohesive team, ensuring that roles and responsibilities are clearly understood, that team members' workloads are reasonable, that cross-functional communications are appropriate, and that personality conflicts are managed for owners and members of the hired team. Works with HR and the area leaders to have adequate staffing and training to meet project needs.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field 10+ years of experience in industrial construction projects (e.g., oil & gas, manufacturing, power) 5+ years in a leadership or site management role Proven experience managing capex projects. Must be proficient in English. Strong knowledge of construction methods, equipment, and materials Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Primavera, MS Project) Understand engineering drawings, specifications, and codes.
