Superintendent Whitehouse, TX Full-TimeOn-Site$100,000 - $140,000 /yr Posted July 21, 2026 Construction Superintendent Hotel & Historic Renovation Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead on-site operations for hotel, hotel renovation, and historical renovation projects, including mid-rise and high-rise commercial construction. The Superintendent will oversee daily field activities, enforce safety and quality standards, coordinate subcontractors and trades, maintain schedule and budget targets, and serve as the owners and project teams on-site representative to ensure successful, timely delivery of complex hospitality and preservation projects. Key Responsibilities Oversee and manage all on-site construction activities, ensuring work is performed safely, on schedule and to quality standards. Enforce OSHA standards and site-specific safety programs (OSHA 30 preferred); conduct toolbox talks, safety inspections, and incident reporting. Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, trades, and labor forces; sequence work to meet project milestones and minimize disruptions on occupied sites. Manage daily field reporting, keep accurate logs of manpower, materials, equipment, and progress; prepare and deliver daily/weekly reports to project management and owners. Maintain and update project schedules, proactively identify and mitigate delays, and coordinate look-ahead planning with project team. Review drawings and specifications with foremen and trades; identify and resolve field conflicts; process RFIs and coordinate with architects and engineers for timely decisions. Ensure quality control and compliance with contract documents, building codes, and preservation standards for historical renovations. Manage site logistics, access, staging, and material deliveries for downtown or constrained sites typical of hotel and mid/high-rise projects. Coordinate inspections, permits, and testing with authorities having jurisdiction and third-party inspectors. Support cost control efforts by monitoring jobsite productivity, tracking change orders, and communicating potential impacts to project managers/vendors. Mentor and lead field personnel, promote continuous improvement, and maintain positive relations with clients and stakeholders. Qualifications Minimum 7+ years of residential/commercial construction experience with at least 35 years as a Superintendent on hotel, renovation, or historical restoration projects (mid-rise and/or high-rise preferred). OSHA 30 certification required or willing to obtain upon hire; strong safety leadership and incident prevention record. Proven experience with commercial construction methods, hotel renovation sequencing, and historic preservation techniques and requirements. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, submittals, and shop drawings. Proficiency with construction management software and scheduling tools (Procore, PlanGrid, MS Project, Primavera or similar). Strong leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills; ability to coordinate multiple trades on fast-paced sites and work with owners, architects and inspectors. Working knowledge of local building codes, permit processes, and inspection requirements. Valid drivers license and reliable transportation; ability to work on-site with variable hours and occasional travel between projects. CPR/First Aid preferred; construction-related degree or certifications (e.g., NCCER, LEED) a plus. For this position you must be currently authorized to work in the United States.
