Apply The Assistant Construction Project Manager supports the planning, coordination, and delivery of municipal capital construction projects from concept through completion. Working under the direction of the Construction Project Manager, this role assists with budgeting, scheduling, procurement, construction oversight, and project documentation to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with applicable standards. This position serves as a key liaison among internal teams, contractors, consultants, and stakeholders, helping to manage project communications, monitor progress, and mitigate risks while supporting multiple concurrent projects.

Assist in managing construction projects from initiation through closeout, supporting all phases of delivery. Support development and tracking of project budgets, schedules, scopes, and resource needs. Coordinate procurement activities, including RFQs, contractor selection, and contract administration. Monitor project progress, quality, and compliance with codes, regulations, and specifications. Maintain project documentation, including cost tracking, invoices, status reports, and audit-ready records. Facilitate project meetings, prepare minutes, and communicate updates to stakeholders. Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and internal teams to support project execution.

Experience-Related Requirements:

Over two years and up to and including four years.

Vocational/ Educational Preparation:

Requires Bachelor's degree in engineering or the hard sciences such as architecture, chemistry, geology, biology, mathematics, or physics or a Master's Degree in Liberal Arts or Business.
