Apply The Construction Project Manager leads the delivery of complex municipal capital projects from concept through occupancy, ensuring alignment with scope, budget, schedule, and quality standards. This role exercises broad authority to manage all phases of project development, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, mitigate risks, and communicate effectively with stakeholders, including executive leadership and governing bodies. The position also provides high-level support to the City administration, oversees multiple concurrent projects, and drives continuous improvement of project management systems and processes. Essential Functions Regular and reliable attendance in compliance with given schedules is a mandatory requirement of this position. Schedules may be subject to change with or without advance notice. Direct and manage projects from initiation through completion using established project management methodologies. Develop and oversee project budgets, schedules, work plans, and resource allocations. Coordinate procurement processes, including RFQs and contractor selection, in collaboration with Purchasing. Monitor project performance to ensure quality, cost control, and compliance with specifications and contracts. Identify and mitigate project risks, implementing strategies to reduce cost and schedule impacts. Communicate project status, financials, and key updates to stakeholders, including presentations as needed. Supervise and evaluate project staff and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Experience-Related Requirements:

Over four years and up to and including eight years.

Vocational/Educational Preparation:

Requires Bachelor's degree in engineering or the hard sciences such as architecture, chemistry, geology, biology, mathematics, or physics or a Masters Degree in Liberal Arts or Business.
