Grading Foreman

Overview We are seeking a motivated and experienced Grading Foreman to lead and oversee grading operations on construction sites. This dynamic role involves managing grading projects , ensuring safety compliance, and delivering high-quality earthwork that meets project specifications. As a key leader in our construction management team, you will coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to execute grading tasks efficiently, on schedule, and within budget. Your expertise in construction site management and technical skills will drive the success of our projects while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality. Responsibilities Lead and supervise grading projects, assigning tasks and monitoring progress to ensure timely completion of earthwork activities Knowledge of grading, excavation, cut and fill, compaction, drainage and site prep. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other trades to align grading operations with overall project schedules and schematics Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to accurately execute grading work according to specifications Conduct quality control inspections using tools like ohmmeters and other testing equipment to verify proper compaction and grading accuracy Operating heavy equipment including skid steer, roller, scrapper, and blade. Ability to read grade stakes Requirements Proven experience supervising grading or earthwork operations on heavy construction sites Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, construction estimating, and project scheduling techniques Ability to read technical schematics and interpret construction drawings accurately Strong understanding of contracts management within the construction industry Relevant certifications such as OSHA safety training are required; additional certifications in construction management or heavy equipment operation are preferred Join us as a Grading Foreman to lead impactful earthwork projects that shape communities!
