MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Leading of project staff in the process of completing projects and ensuring contract compliance Organizing and overseeing job site administration Organizing and coordinating field supervision Creating and submitting project related invoices Assisting in the procurement of subcontractors and suppliers Developing, monitoring, updating, and communicating the progress schedule and its periodic revisions Managing the direct labor force and maintaining labor relations Managing subcontractor schedules, quality-of-work, coordination with other trades, and payments Coordinating cost-progress targets with production Creating and maintaining a safe/secure job site environment Identify, document, and resolve project changes, RFIs, and modifications. Establishing and maintaining relationships with the Owner, design professionals, building officials, local businesses, and police and fire departments Establishing, maintaining, conducting, and policing detailed procedures for the submittal, review, coordination, approval, and distribution of shop drawings, samples, etc. Establishing and maintaining all project engineering files relating to subcontract and bid package records, plans, specifications, changes, clarifications, and as-built documents Reviewing all vendor schedules of values and prepare the master schedule of values Managing the periodic requisition procedure for review, submittal, and payment Expediting vendor estimates and proposals and preparing appropriate company estimates and proposals Evaluating subcontractor payment requisitions relative to actual work performed Coordinating on-site field operations with corporate office activities
KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
Must be able to work with government and non-government personnel in a professional and clear manner. Be able to work with different trades and construction focuses to ensure a quality environment without limiting the trades ability to complete work. Must be able to properly communicate over the phone and in writing to upper management to include Subcontractors, Suppliers, Onsite Staff, Owners, other PM's, Superintendents, and Corporate Safety. Qualifications BS or MS Degree in Physics, Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture
REQUIRED
Minimum of 5 years of experience working with USACE, NAVFAC, DOT, DOD, VA, or other federal and state agencies in either a QCM or Project Manager Role Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Excel (test will be given to evaluate proficiency) Bluebeam Excellent plan and specification reading skills Well-developed organizational skills Honest Dependable Good interpersonal skills Must pass government security clearance standards Must pass pre-employment drug screen test if hired Good driving record, valid license - insurable through the company Must be able to lift to 50 lbs. CPM Scheduling knowledge - Primavera P6/OPC Preferred
