  • $120,000 annually (based on experience) Performance-based bonuses Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance Paid Time Off & Holidays Long-term career growth opportunities Position Summary Superior Skilled Trades is partnered with a company seeking a Superintendent responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing safe, profitable, and efficient operations across assigned commercial construction projects.
This role ensures field execution aligns with project schedules, budgets, company standards, and safety requirements while leading crews and coordinating with project management. Key Responsibilities Conduct daily field inspections to assess work progress, performance quality, and adherence to safety standards Ensure projects stay on schedule by following established project development and execution processes Manage multiple job sites simultaneously and adjust priorities as needed Monitor materials, workmanship, and installation quality at all project phases Enforce all safety, environmental, and compliance requirements across job sites and subcontractors Develop and implement work plans, staffing strategies, and crew assignments for each project phase Coordinate closely with Project Managers regarding labor, equipment, and resource needs Maximize crew productivity and equipment utilization while maintaining efficiency and cost control Promote and enforce company safety programs; address violations, incidents, and corrective actions Provide leadership, mentorship, and training to foremen and field personnel Support foremen in daily crew management and production oversight Resolve field issues and project challenges in a timely and effective manner Maintain strong communication and teamwork across all field and office personnel Ensure compliance with company procedures, safety regulations, and applicable building codes Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Minimum 7+ years of experience in commercial construction At least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role (Superintendent/Foreman level preferred) Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Effective verbal and written communication skills in English High School Diploma or equivalent (relevant experience may substitute education) Reliable transportation and ability to travel to multiple job sites across Metro DC area Ability to work in varying environments including heights, confined spaces, and extreme weather conditions Physically able to stand, walk, climb, bend, and perform field-based duties as required Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Spanish fluency preferred but not required INDH To96BNHKmV
