Liaison and Technical Manager
  • Electrical USA Based The Role BMC are the leading manufacturers of low voltage switchgear in Ireland who have expanded into the US and are now hiring for the above position based in Ashburn Virginia.

You will be the primary point of contact between BMC internal teams and the client site teams, ensuring smooth delivery of projects through structured communication, planning, and follow-up. Responsible, for aligning Site Services, Production, Quality and Logistics to meet project timelines, compliance requirements along with client expectations. Responsibilities Client & Site Coordination You will be the main point of contact between BMC and the client site teams. Deal with all Electrical and Technical issues that may arise through multiple sites. Attend weekly site meetings and maintain full visibility of project status. Build and maintain strong relationships with the client project managers and site teams. Communicate updates, risks, and progress clearly to all stakeholders. Track project progress across multiple sites using internal systems and client portals. Record and distribute meeting minutes with clear actions and ownership. Provide regular updates to management on status, risks and key milestones ensure alignment. between planned and actual delivery timelines. Cross-Functional Coordination Coordinate between Site Services engineers, Production, Quality and Administration teams. Ensure all departments, are aware on delivery schedules, priorities, and requirements. Follow up on actions to ensure timely completion and accountability. Ensure all required documentation (RAMS, checklists, reports) is complete and uploaded to Procore and client systems. Maintain structured document control and traceability. Support quality processes including signoffs and compliance requirements. Planning & Delivery Coordination Monitor delivery schedules and communicate any changes to relevant teams. Coordinate with Production regarding PDC quantities and delivery timelines. Identify opportunities to improve reporting, communication, and coordination processes. Support development of a structured Site Services system for better tracking and invoicing. Improve communication workflows between Site Services, Production, Quality and Finance Maintain structured approach during high-pressure situations. Technical Supports Provide remote support to site services teams operating in the field. Help the team with troubleshooting and issue resolution. Ensure clear communication between field teams and management. The ability to follow escalation procedures when critical to appropriate teams
  • engineering/management.
Ability to maintain and review commissioning scripts.
Understand commissioning structures:
L2
  • Basic functional tests, F.O.D (Foreign Objects and debris) walks, connection tests, and certs. Normally conducted alongside the client and G.C CX team. L3
  • Equipment start up and power on. Main functional testing and load-banking. Client/ G.C CX team may witness. L4
  • Heat load testing on equipment alongside preparing for building handover and I.
S.T. Led by client/G.C CX assisted by our site team. During
L3, L4 & IST
be readily available to client, G.C and BMC CX teams in case of product fault or failure. During these functional and operational tests, it is vitally important that communication lines stay open even during out of hours. Required Strong electrical background and experience (Electrician, Electrical Technician, Electrical Engineer) Proficient coordination and organisational skills Clear and structured communication with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders. High diligence and compliance with strong relationship-building skills Experience with reporting, tracking, and documentation control Ability to manage deadlines and completing priorities.
