Project Supervisor

Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Project Supervisor. This role focuses on ensuring all work is performed in compliance with state and contract requirements, while maintaining safety, quality, and efficiency on-site. The Project Supervisor will be responsible for directly supervising subcontractors, managing daily field operations, and taking full ownership of on-site coordination. This position requires someone who can accurately take field measurements, track quantities, and complete all required paperwork and documentation in a timely and organized manner. Key Responsibilities Supervise and manage all on-site construction activities, with direct oversight of subcontractors to ensure compliance with project specifications, standards, and safety requirements Serve as the primary field representative responsible for daily coordination, scheduling, and execution of work Perform and document all required field measurements, quantities, and as-built conditions accurately Complete and maintain all project paperwork, including daily reports, inspection logs, quantity tracking, and change order documentation Review and interpret plans, specifications, shop drawings, and schematics to ensure work is performed correctly Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, and stakeholders to maintain schedules and resolve issues quickly Develop and track project schedules. Monitor field activities to help control costs and support budget tracking, including change orders and material usage Ensure adherence to OSHA safety regulations and site-specific safety requirements through regular inspections and safety meetings Conduct quality control inspections to confirm all work meets contract requirements and industry standards Maintain accurate records of materials, equipment usage, and workforce activity on-site Identify and resolve field issues proactively to keep the project on schedule Qualifications Proven experience supervising construction work, preferably within Virginia Demonstrated ability to manage and oversee subcontractors on active job sites Strong understanding of roadway or heavy civil construction practices and inspection requirements Ability to independently manage all on-site documentation, reporting, and field measurements with accuracy Familiarity with project scheduling tools such as Primavera P6 or similar Solid understanding of OSHA safety regulations and their application in construction environments Ability to read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills Hands-on field experience with measurement tools and inspection equipment Summary This position is ideal for a hands-on supervisor who is comfortable taking full responsibility for field operations, including subcontractor oversight, documentation, and measurements. Pay:

$24.00 - $28.00 per hour
