The Project Manager will lead commercial construction programs and projects and ensure their high quality, cost effective and timely completion. The candidate will require solid communication skills, be detail-oriented and organized. We are looking for someone who considers themselves a lifelong learner. Project Manager Duties & Responsibilities:
Determine and define scope of work and deliverables. Predict resources needed to complete project, and order/manage materials and equipment. Obtain necessary project permits, approvals, and other regulatory prerequisites. Draft and submit budget based on scope of work and resource requirements. Manage program costs in order to meet budget. Coordinate, plan, and manage project schedules for contractors and subcontractors. Oversee and manage construction project progress and provide reports on timeline, progress, and adjustments. Issue progress updates as needed regarding program costs and timelines. Ensure all legal requirements, building and safety codes, safety inspections, city guidelines, and local and state regulations are met. Coordinate efforts across entire project between architects, designers, engineers, and subcontractors. Oversees performance of all trade contractors and reviews architectural and engineering drawings to make sure that all specifications and regulations are being followed.
Project Manager Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in building construction, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field Three years' experience as a construction manager or in a similar position in construction management Comfortable reading and understanding Commercial Construction blueprints and drawings. Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer software Demonstrated knowledge of construction, engineering, and architecture principles Ability to budget, schedule, negotiate, and control costs for commercial construction projects. High degree of familiarity with contract and subcontract documents, terms, and conditions Strong leadership and management skills Knowledge of local, state, and federal building and construction code regulations Travel is about 20% Positions Related to
