Job Description

MC3 Solutions Project Manager Position Summary MC3 Solutions is seeking an experienced, detail-driven Project Manager to lead the successful execution of federal and state government construction projects. As the company's primary representative on assigned jobs, the Project Manager is accountable for the planning, coordination, execution, and financial performance of projects from pre-construction through closeout. This role demands a self-directed leader capable of managing complex public-sector construction operations, resolving issues in real time, maintaining rigorous cost and schedule controls, and ensuring that every project is delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Project Manager serves as the key liaison between government clients, design professionals, subcontractors, suppliers, and MC3's internal team—ensuring alignment across all stakeholders and reinforcing our company's reputation for precision, responsiveness, and zero excuses.
Position Qualifications Required:
Minimum 7 years of experience managing federal or state construction projects, including at least 3 years leading design-build efforts. Strong organizational, analytical, and leadership skills. Proven ability to lead multiple active projects and manage cross-functional teams. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and government-issued specifications. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Project, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Adobe PDF tools. U.S. work authorization and valid driver's license. Real ID compliant license or identification card (required for access to federal job sites). Ability to pass substance abuse screening and background checks for badging/security clearance.
Preferred:
Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field. OSHA 10 and/or OSHA 30 certification. U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Construction Quality Management (CQM-C) certification. Familiarity with construction management platforms such as Procore, Bluebeam, or similar. Duties & Responsibilities Serve as the primary company representative for all assigned federal and state construction projects; maintain open communication with contracting officers, field representatives, and all stakeholders. Lead all phases of project execution including preconstruction planning, procurement, staffing, budgeting, scheduling, and closeout. Develop and manage detailed project budgets and schedules; proactively identify and mitigate cost and timeline risks. Manage subcontractor solicitation, scope review, contract execution, and compliance. Lead project kickoff meetings and establish performance expectations for the internal team and trade partners. Oversee all contract management responsibilities including RFIs, submittals, change orders, daily reports, and meeting documentation. Analyze job cost reports, prepare margin reviews, and track project financials on a monthly basis. Ensure timely and accurate preparation of government pay applications and subcontractor pay requisitions. Maintain high safety and quality standards on-site through collaboration with superintendents and field staff. Make regular field visits to ensure project progress, troubleshoot issues, and verify compliance with contract documents and government regulations. Coordinate project closeout activities, including punch list management, documentation, warranties, and client turnover. Support internal continuous improvement by mentoring Assistant Project Managers and contributing to internal process development. Work Environment & Physical Demands This position requires a balanced presence in both office and field settings (approximately 50/50). Must be able to conduct jobsite walks, participate in meetings, and travel to secured or remote government project locations. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work Full-time exempt position.
