Leesburg, VA Job Description:
The Onsite Security Coordinator supports daily security operations at active construction sites. This role serves as the primary point of contact for the 24/7 guard staff and the General Contractor, ensuring site access control, incident reporting, and adherence to security protocols. This is an administrative and field-based role designed for individuals who are highly organized, reliable, and have a customer-first mentality.
Responsibilities:
Onsite Security CoordinatorAct as the main point of contact for security guards and site leadershipCoordinate daily security operations and ensure proper site coverageAttend General Contractor meetings to understand forcasterd construction activitiesMonitor access control procedures and enforce site security protocolsGeneral Contractor & Stakeholder CommunicationInterface directly with the General Contractor and project teamsCommunicate security updates, incidents, and access needsSupport coordination of site activities related to securityAdministrative SupportMaintain daily logs, reports, and incident documentationResponsible physical badging operations onsite for General Contractor/subcontractor construction personnel. Track personnel access and visitor recordsEnsure compliance with company policies and site requirementsSite Presence & OversightConduct site walkthroughs to ensure security procedures are followedSupport early morning or variable shifts based on project needsAssist with basic coordination of security-related equipment or processes
Required Qualifications:
Education and Experience3+ Years of Site Security experience. Construction projects preferred. High school diploma or equivalent requiredValid security guard license as required by state/local regulationsClean background check and drug screeningU.S. Citizenship Skills and AbilitiesStrong attention to detail and observational skillsExcellent written and verbal communication abilitiesProficiency with electronic access control systemsAbility to work independently and make sound decisionsBasic computer skills for maintaining electronic access listsAbility to pass a pre-employment drug screening and periodic random drug screening. Physical RequirementsMust be able to bend at the waist, knees, and waist.

Must have the physical ability to perform a variety of training functions.

Ability to walk on uneven surfaces, walk long distances on a training facility, and operate equipment.

Must be physically capable of standing an 8-hour post.
